The United States Botanic Garden, established by Congress in 1820, is a living plant museum dedicated to demonstrating the aesthetic, cultural, economic, therapeutic and ecological importance of plants to the well-being of humankind. Public facilities include the Conservatory, the National Garden, and Bartholdi Park. Located on the National Mall next to the Capitol, the U.S. Botanic Garden is open daily, 10am to 5pm.
